下拉讀到這兒的朋友，相信都是對 ASOT 這個字眼充滿興趣的，為了讓新朋友快速了解 ASOT 是啥，在這就再嚕嗦一次，話說它以電台節目的型式誕生於 2001 年，而從 2004 年開始更推出了合輯，一路演進下來，不僅節目中有了 Tune of the Week、Future Favorite 及 ASOT Radio Classic 等安排、把過往未來的好波一網打盡，實體部份也衍生出了 Year Mix 與 Classics 等的嫡系，但這樣還不夠，從 2010 年開始，每 50 集還另外加辦幾個舞聚來個橫向結合，500 集後更是擴張為全球巡演，還會邀請名人堂級的好手共襄盛舉。當然，就算呈現的型式內容如何不同，一切都源於 AVB 這位神樣天王，但樂迷們可有福了，口袋深腳程快的得以親臨現場，沒那麼費力的辦法也不缺，立即鎖定面前的這系列大碟，也可擁有個超值痛快！ 如 550 的 Invasion、600 的 The Expedition 般，此番也有主題設置，名為 New Horizons，就像原文文案中所述，想像五位勸世開拓者齊力航向新地域的光景，因此視界絕不會是守舊小格局。Disc One 由 AVB 擔綱，收錄陣容宛如坐上時光機，細數 Saltwater 和 Autumn Tactics (Chicane)、Solarcoaster (Solarstone)、Airwave  (Rank 1)、Moogwai、Way Out West、Tiësto 再加上 Paul van Dyk 的 For An Angel 等平均超過 10 年份的醇香，還沒半張就足以讓人瘋狂！再往下走時區仍舊在千禧年前後打轉，而馳放經典變身的 Cafe Del Mar 資歷更破 20 載，主理人亦不缺席地亦以三曲呈獻，壓軸再交由 Jorn van Deynhoven 大力堆疊抬頭歌，完全是克拉西客的規模！BT 接手的 Disc Two 就像是 Solo 了，從 A 家族首發 A Song Across Wires 中的Skylarking、Must Be The Love 和 Surrounded (記得 Aqualung 嗎)，到提名葛萊美最佳舞曲專輯 These Hopeful Machines 裡的 Every Other Way 及 Suddenly，然後是與 JES、Emma Hewitt、Tania Zygar、Nadia Ali 等頂級女伶的合作，再補上必備的 Flaming June 與雙星齊出的 These Silent Hearts 等，感受沒有懸念、品質不容置疑，活生生地是個變相生涯精選！Armada 的非洲原力 Aly & Fila 主打第三盤，以其專擅的廣瀚優雅元素組合全張，構成了勁美的最高體驗，無論是 Above & Beyond 的都會流線、Mirco De Govia 的精緻前衛、Aalto 的暗黑冷調、Lost Witness vs Sassot 的氛圍轉換等，沒有改變的都是那 BPM 140 以上高速節拍，在高能量的輸出中仍能維持走勢的順暢、動聽又促舞的難能可貴，只能說頂級功力才做得到！Disc Four 登場的是德國資深雙人組 Kyau & Albert，所謂 Uplifting Trance 達人不是蓋的，6AM 的柔邊殘響順著拍點凝聚的風貌轉換、As You Fall 可以聽到英倫味和聲與上昇氣旋的瑰麗、George Square 則是復古成份與現世鼓點的融合增幅，期間還收了支 Young Parisians 的轟動奇作 Jump The Next Train 令人驚喜，整個走勢採逐步拉抬，結尾本家的 Be There 4 U 電量飽滿，延續氣勢至 Disc Five，Omnia 的出場就有如所謂的新軍武展示了，這位俄國七年級的選曲極為多元，Beauty Hides In The Deep 和 Miami Vibe 負責現世質感，大家熟知的 The Fusion 加 Lift Off  露出放肆且勾勒情緒的那面，The Light 與 Bones 出現了催速傾向及酸性旋轉，但最後還是放了 Arksun 的 Arisen 萬流歸宗地向基本型致敬、達成漂亮和諧。全輯 5 CD 超過 90 曲綜合古往今來重點勸世，ASOT 嚴選必無遜砲，今年聽電音當然就要這一張！
